13 December: 3D printing Workshop

Interested in exploring materials, shaping impossible forms, imagining a better and sustainable future?
Come and spend the day playing with us, the latest WASP 3D-printers, and international experts in additive manufacturing and materials.This workshop welcomes students, professionals, academics, the curious and especially SMEs (make the time, it will be worth it).

This workshop is organised as an event within the PLUS project, funded by the European Regional Development fund, and in collaboration with RISE, Umeå University, Tillväxtverket, Region Västerbotten, Umeå kommun, Nätverket för hållbart byggande och förvaltande, White Arkitekter and Revenues.

14 December: WASP hub Kick-off & Keynotes

On Day 2, we will celebrate the official opening of the Scandinavian Hub of WASP, with two keynotes by two outstanding international guests:
Ronald Rael, Associate Professor at Berkeley (UCB) and founder of Emerging Objects. Massimo Moretti, founder of the WASP project.

These keynotes will not only give you a unique glimpse of what the potential of 3D printing is today, but also what it might become if we keep on dreaming and making, where it matters for people, without limiting our own vision or imagination.
The day’s program includes a presentation of the Making Together workshop results.

14 December: RISE&Shine with us!
Inauguration of RISE Interactive in Umeå

(NOTE: Participation is free but places are limited. Please note that no-shows are debited 400 SEK each, so please cancel 1 week in advance if you are unable to make it)

As the grand finale, we welcome you to RISE&Shine, an inclusive perspective on RISE's vision on innovation at a regional, national and internation level. 

The occasion is the official opening of RISE Interactive's new studio in Scharinska Villan. We warmly invite you to join us and mingle.

RISE Interactive will be showing some demonstrations and invites you for networking and drinks. While you are responsible for enjoying yourself, we can promise you will be rubbing shoulders with both familiar faces and enigmatic strangers.

So come together, fill your glasses and celebrate!

A welcoming drink and snack will be offered to participants of this part of the program.
Additional beverages and snacks will be available for purchase.
